The mission of OCAEOP is to promote a high degree of integrity, professionalism, pride, teamwork, and respect of its diverse membership through networking, information and educational opportunities.

OCAEOP was formed for the purpose of improving the quality of service to the schools of Orangeburg County.  To this end OCAEOP shall strive to elevate the standards of professionals in education by exchanging and pooling of information, ideas, ideals, and by providing professional growth activities.

Each year OCAEOP selects two (2) Orangeburg County high school seniors to receive a $500.00 scholarship for one semester (spring or fall).  The scholarship will be forfeited if enrollment verification is not received within thirty (30) days after the semester begins and if not redeemed one year following the year that it was awarded.

The approved guidelines and rules listed on the application will be adhered to for each applicant.  The committee will meet early in the year or as soon as possible after the new board takes office.  A master of the scholarship application is kept on file with the president.  Applications are sent to all Orangeburg County High School Guidance Departments.

Deadline to submit the application is March 31st.

The committee reviews the applications received and selects the recipients.  Scholarships are awarded in April.  Time lines and procedures will be followed carefully.  In the event a scholarship recipient for any reason cannot accept the scholarship monies, the scholarship will be awarded to the next most qualified applicant.
